Danganronpa is a murder mysteries franchise. Teenage students are trapped in a school and forced to play a killing game where they have to murder in order to graduate and the other students have to figure out who the culprit is. If the culprit is discovered, they are killed. If not, they get to leave the school and the rest of the students are killed instead.
These covers were designed to show the mystery, dynamism and violence of the series. Each cover art represents one death, it is a foreshadow of what’s going to happen. This series has a very particular graphic element, the blood is neon pink. This inspired me to create a striking, limited colour palette.
